How do I book the band?

The quickest and easiest way to enquire about the booking the band for a wedding or event is by filling out a form on the Contact page.  If you want to talk to us in more detail you can also find the details to email or phone us on the same page.

How long do you play for?

At weddings we will normally play between 8pm and midnight with a 30 minute break during the buffet in which we will play appropriate background music at a reduced volume.  The prices we quote will normally reflect this but we will also happily accommodate longer or shorter sets if this doesn't suit your night, so please don't hesitate to ask.

How far will you travel for a booking?

All members of the band are based in Glasgow and would normally be willing to play functions within a 1 and a half hour commute. However, we can also play venues further away and stay overnight but additional costs may be required.

Will you learn a song of our choice for a first dance?

Of course, we will try to accommodate any song selection, however, we ask that you give us 3 to 4 weeks before your wedding to learn the song.

Can we come see you before we decide to book you?

We like to invite couples down to the rehearsal studio to hear us play through a few songs and have a quick chat.  We hold these drop in sessions several times a year, but if they don't suit you then we can try to invite you along on a night that suits you.

Do you play music during your break?

During our break we can play appropriate background music at a reduced volume or you could provide us with an iPod with your own chosen playlist, if you would prefer.

What time will you turn up and how long does it take for you to set up?

As we are a completely live band it can take us a little longer, so we ask for around 50 minutes to set up. As a result, we always aim to be at the venue an hour before we play to ensure everything runs smoothly.

What different styles does your band cover?

We play a variety of music and try our best to have something for everyone. You can have a look at our set list here, as well as listening to a selection of tracks we have recorded here.

Does your set include a Ceilidh?

We are able to play recordings of popular Ceilidh songs and call and demonstrate the dances for anyone who is unsure of them.

What is the band’s dress code?

We always aim to dress as smartly as possible in black and white attire. However if you have any particular requirements then just contact us and we would be happy to try and accommodate them.

Can you play at the ceremony and drinks reception?

Our bassist Luciano plays performs at ceremonies and drinks receptions and has a great deal of material and information at his website www.lucianofranchi.co.uk.
